Deerfield River Fishing Report 5/28/19

Fishing is good and we are getting some good water flows throughout the entire river. As always make sure to check before you head out and be aware. We are starting to see March Browns hatching and we have some big sz 12-14 Tan Caddis coming off throughout the day and into the evening.

The Westfield River is at a great flow and fishing good. The Millers is at 425cfs and starting to turn on. The Swift has finally gone below 300cfs and is dropping quick every day. We’re getting a bit of rain today and we’ll see what happens.

5/29 Update Rain yesterday bumped the water flows back up a bit but they should come back down over the next day or two. Millers, Westfield and Swift are around 500cfs. The lower part of the Deerfield is quite high this morning. The Fife Brook Dam is scheduled to release 900cfs from 11am-5pm today. It’s currently at 155cfs.

We have availability for float and wade trips. Give us a call or shoot us an email.
