Articulated Streamer Class January 21st 2017 10am-1pm
We’ve all seen the mammoth browns and brookies showcased on the glossy covers of Fly Fisherman and Fly Rod and Reel. Now you, too, yearn for that hero shot. Imagine, it’s late autumn and the leaves are fire orange, you’re standing knee-deep in a quiet New England stream with the fish of your dreams in your hands. Maybe it’s a hefty brown or a beautiful brookie. These are the dreams that keep us up at night, the fevered memories of cold water, kyped jaws, empty fly boxes, marauding brown trout, and the feeling that you are being watched from dark water.
Why not stop dreaming and make them into reality? Join us on January 21st, 2017 from 10am-1pm at Deerfield Fly Shop for a streamer class. Learn to tie the flies that are used to chase fall browns and brookies. We will go over and practice techniques to tie articulated streamer patterns that will give you the foundation to start the journey of designing your own stream predators. Become the hunter of the big fish you dream about.
Flies covered include: the Double Bunny, Gonga streamer, and the Sculpin Ayl. All articulated, all deadly (except that we catch and release). The cost of the class is $40.00/person due at sign up and is limited to 5 people.
Specialty tools that might not be part of your standard kit and will be needed:
Dubbing loop tool
Wire cutter and pliers
