Deerfield River Fishing Report 8/25/17

BWO 16-20, Caddis 12-16, Tricos  18-20, Chernobyls 8-10, Hoppers 10-12, Ants 12-18, Black/Cinamon Flying Ants 16-20, Light Cahill 12-16, White Wulffs 12-14,  Golden/Black/Brown Stonefly Nymphs 8-12, Pheasant Tail Nymphs 12-18, Olive/Natural Caddis Nymphs 12-18, Attractor Nymphs 10-18, Olive/Black Wooly Buggers 6-12, Muddler Minnow 6-10.

Dry fly action has been sporadic at best at least for myself. BWO and white mayflies have been producing the best for our customers. Big golden stonefly nymphs 6-10 have continued to have the best results.  I had a chance to fish the Swift River and the brookies have been loving swung wet flies. The bows and brown have been a bit more trickey but have come to pt and caddis nymphs with some squirmmies mixed in. The nights are cool and daytime temps are in the 70’s so I would expect the Millers and Westfield River to start to get pretty active soon. Tight Lines.
