Deerfield River Fishing Report 4/21/17

Some positive reports from anglers coming in. Fish are taking a wide range of flies from medium size streamers to Hendricksons(see picture below. Courtesy of Tom S). Thursday the water levels came down to a nicer level and fish were taking early stoneflies, BWO and Caddis off the surface along with a variety of nymphs and streamers subsurface. The rain is bringing the levels up again so we’ll have to wait and see what happens over the next 24 hours.

Woolly Buggers 6-10, Sculpins and medium size streamers 4-8, Olive/Natural Caddis Nymphs 8-18, Pheasant Tails 12-20, Hare’s Ear 12-16, Stoneflies 8-12, Deerfield Stone 14, Copper Johns 12-16, Attractor Nymphs 12-18, Squirmies and Egg Patterns, BWO 16-18, Tan Caddis 14-18, Hendricksons  and Red Quill 14-16.

We have dates available for float trips, wade trips and lessons. Give us a call if you would like to book a day. (413)397-3665
